About the Role
The UGE Laborer/Groundman supports the construction team by preparing and cleaning job sites, handling building materials, operating equipment, and assisting skilled tradespeople in their tasks. This role works closely with department personnel to ensure projects progress efficiently and safely. • Clean and prepare construction sites, removing debris and hazards. • Assist tradesmen to increase the efficiency of their skilled tasks. • Identify utilities and monitor dig crews to prevent utility strikes. • Clean and maintain equipment after use. • Restock trucks with supplies, ensuring crews have necessary tools and materials.

What You Bring
The position is field‑based and requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, lifting—up to 50 lb—pushing, pulling, and working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold. Employees must have good vision, hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors while maintaining precise spatial judgment. • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. • Preferred: At least one year of related experience and a CDL Class A driver’s license.
