About the Role

Location: Central London. The role is a key position within the growing H&K Fire Detection team, responsible for leading service delivery to meet client SLAs and ensure the fire detection service department operates efficiently in line with company standards. • Lead, recruit, develop and line‑manage the engineering team. • Coordinate activities with contractors and suppliers. • Resolve project delays and manage engineering escalations. • Hire and train new employees; oversee process improvements. • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to LPS standards. • Manage materials, equipment budget and quality of work. • Monitor performance and compliance of approved sub‑contractors and suppliers. • Attend monthly senior management meetings and liaise with clients. • Maintain a safe and secure working environment for staff and customers. • Build successful relationships and provide first‑class customer service.

What You Bring

A strong understanding of fire systems is essential, making the role suitable for candidates with a fire engineering background or similar service manager experience in the engineering sector. The successful candidate will lead, recruit, develop and line‑manage the engineering team while coordinating with contractors, suppliers and clients. • Possess senior service delivery experience in fire and security industry. • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of LBPS standards. • Experience recruiting, managing and developing teams. • Ability to work in fast‑paced environment and make decisive decisions. • Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines, KPIs and SLAs. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. • Proven track record of delivering process and service enhancements.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to purchase additional days, a contributory pension scheme, car allowance, life assurance and a funded health cash plan. Working hours are 36.5 per week (Monday‑Thursday 8:45‑16:40, Friday 8:45‑16:00) and a basic or enhanced DBS check is required.
