About the Role

Key duties include setting up, programming, starting, and shutting down PVD machines; performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, electronic, and vacuum systems; and handling parts loading/unloading, inspection, and quality decisions per DS‑500 specifications. • Set up, program, start up, and shut down PVD machines and related equipment. • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, electronic, and vacuum system components. • Repair mechanical and vacuum pump issues and conduct parts loading, unloading, and inspection. • Determine appropriate recipes and rack configurations for production runs. • Detect and report defective materials or equipment problems. • Follow 5S and visual workplace standards, including housekeeping and ergonomic stretches. • Conduct hazard observations and report unsafe actions per Delta procedures. • Maintain documentation and interpret safety rules, work instructions, and ERP/QMS data. • Work independently with limited supervision while supporting Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

The candidate must have prior experience operating PVD chambers, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and preferably maintenance or technical experience in manufacturing. Required skills include problem‑solving, data analysis, basic math, and the ability to read safety rules, work instructions, and ERP/QMS documents. Physical requirements involve standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lb, as well as work in confined spaces and at heights; certifications in confined‑space entry and fall protection are required or must be obtained. The role follows 5S housekeeping, safety observation reporting, and adheres to Delta’s safety and ergonomic standards. • Achieve a Color Acuity score of 40 or better; hold or obtain confined‑space and fall‑protection certifications.

Benefits

Technician 1 (PVD) – All Shifts – $27.60‑$29.25 hourly (depending on hire date and shift differential). The role is with Delta Faucet Company, a full‑time position supporting PVD chambers and related equipment in a Lean manufacturing environment. The technician works with all levels of staff and embraces continuous improvement, Shop Floor Management, and the Masco Operating System.
