Job Highlights
About the Role
• Inspect site conditions before construction to verify compatibility with approved designs and permanent works. • Check for obstructions and document site conditions with photographs to prevent damage to utilities, structures, and landscaping. • Review and verify delivered materials against approved samples, specifications, and equipment lists; report non‑conformances to the Resident Engineer. • Ensure proper storage and protection of all site materials to maintain quality and prevent contamination. • Inspect temporary and permanent works to confirm compliance with contract documents, shop drawings, and specifications. • Prepare and maintain daily inspection logs, test reports, and site records per the Contract Administration Procedures Manual. • Monitor site safety practices, ensure adherence to approved procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately. • Issue Non‑Conformance Reports and Site Observation Reports for deviations and follow up on corrective actions. • Assist in inspecting completed works, prepare punch lists, and monitor testing, commissioning, and handover activities for quality compliance. • Review and provide recommendations on contractors’ RFIs related to civil materials and testing requirements. • Evaluate material variance or substitution requests and provide technical comments and recommendations for approval. • Read and interpret working drawings and specifications, enforce on‑site compliance, and prepare inspection and testing reports. • Coordinate with third‑party testing laboratories to ensure material tests meet project specifications and standards. • Document and maintain all material approvals, test results, NCRs, and inspection records for monthly reporting and project close‑out. • Coordinate with authorities such as Dubai Municipality, RTA, and DEWA for material approvals, testing, and compliance verification.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field and possess at least five years of experience in laboratory materials testing and field inspection of samples and materials. Experience in the Middle East, particularly on comparable roads and bridges projects, is preferred.
