About the Role

• Serve as Design Lead, coordinating with clients and the design team on project elements. • Supervise and mentor junior engineers in the design of tunnelling infrastructure. • Contribute to engineering budget and programme development. • Deliver detailed designs for underground structures such as secant piles, capping beams, segmental shaft linings, and D‑walls. • Work on high‑profile tunnelling projects including cable tunnels, power tunnels, pumped‑storage schemes, and major road tunnels.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering, with an MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical, or Tunnelling engineering preferred, and be working toward professional membership. Experience designing reinforced‑concrete underground structures to Eurocodes, and familiarity with geotechnical principles and soil‑structure interaction, are essential.
