About the Role
• Assist with installation of electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, lighting systems, panels, and related components. • Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit using hand and power tools (EMT, PVC, rigid, flex, etc.). • Pull wire and assist in terminating circuits under supervision. • Support layout tasks such as identifying pathways, mounting heights, and equipment locations. • Help install electrical panels, junction boxes, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and switches. • Load, unload, organize, and secure materials, tools, and equipment. • Maintain clean, safe, and OSHA‑compliant work areas in accordance with Upchurch safety protocols. • Assist with testing and troubleshooting completed systems to ensure proper function. • Follow all directions from the Electrical Foreman and contribute as part of the field team. • Participate in Upchurch’s on‑the‑job training and electrical skill‑building programs.

What You Bring
The Project Installer Apprentice – Electrical supports licensed electricians and field leaders with the installation, routing, and connection of electrical systems on commercial projects. This entry‑level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a long‑term career in the electrical trade while learning from highly skilled professionals. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and be able to work on active construction sites lifting 50–75 lb. They must be comfortable working at heights, on ladders or in tight spaces, demonstrate a strong work ethic, teachability, punctuality, and comply with safety standards and PPE requirements. • Read and follow basic electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions (training provided).
