Custodian-3rd Shift

About the Role

In this role you will perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, as well as cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and ensuring supplies are stocked. You will empty and clean trash and recycling bins, conduct minor repairs like changing light bulbs and replacing paper towel dispensers, and report major maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. You will adhere to high quality standards by continually seeking improvement methods, performing quality checks as instructed, and receiving work assignments from management and internal customers to fulfill orders promptly. You must closely follow established procedures, handle special assignments or projects, and comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment. The position requires maintaining a clean and organized work area according to 5S standards, collaborating with team members to complete assignments, and applying strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to resolve production obstacles. What You Bring

Candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the Troy, IL facility (military members are exempt) and possess a high school diploma or GED. One year of industrial cleaning experience is preferred, along with proficiency using buffers, auto scrubbers, carpet extractors, and computer applications. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive, and analytical problem‑solving skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet internal and external customer expectations. • Minimum high school diploma/GED; 1 year industrial cleaning experience preferred. • Experience with buffers, auto scrubbers, carpet extractors; proficient with computer applications. • Strong verbal/written communication, persuasive, and independent decision‑making abilities.
