About the Role
The Quality Team Leader (QTL) ensures unit standards for quality and productivity by checking proper assembly and installation of components such as EVAP coils, compressors, bases, filter racks, blowers, condensers, control boards, motors, brazing, and charging procedures. They train team members to assemble sub‑assembly components accurately and quickly, maintain up‑to‑date schedules and assembly documentation, schedule production time to meet targets, verify work order packets, and confirm part availability. The QTL also approves paperwork for sub‑assemblies and end‑of‑line checks, enforces safety and housekeeping standards, inspects blueprints and drawings, communicates with management, and performs minor repairs and adjustments while providing production backup support. Additional functions include completing AAON’s Quality Team Leader program, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills to keep employees engaged, and offering problem‑solving assistance across multiple teams. Job qualifications require candidates to be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus. Applicants must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, meet the physical demands, assess work accuracy and quality, and communicate effectively in written and spoken English. • Meet physical demands: stand 95% of time, lift 25‑50 lb, climb ladders, work in tight spaces.
