About the Role
This role leverages technical knowledge to provide information processing and business services that meet Xcel Energy's nuclear business and regulatory requirements, handling confidential and complex assignments while managing a wide range of project‑related activities across nuclear sites. Key duties include interfacing with corporate departments, handling high‑priority confidential requests, preparing presentations and correspondence, conducting research projects, providing backup support for senior leadership, and ensuring quality assurance of documents in line with the nuclear records retention schedule. The position also oversees daily office operations such as word processing controlled documents, maintaining electronic file systems, performing periodic audits, developing training materials and procedures, and coordinating mail, calls, meetings, calendar management, travel logistics, and expense reconciliation. Additional expectations involve supporting outage and Emergency Response Organization duties, which may require a flexible schedule that includes back‑shift, weekends, and overtime. • Interface with corporate departments and support high‑priority, confidential requests. • Prepare and edit presentations, correspondence, and controlled documents. • Conduct research projects, develop reports, and communicate findings organization‑wide. • Provide backup support for all business areas, including senior leadership. • Perform quality assurance and control of nuclear records according to retention schedules. • Maintain electronic file systems, conduct periodic audits, and manage document repositories. • Develop training materials and revise procedures to improve office efficiency. • Coordinate mail, calls, meetings, calendars, and logistics for site leaders. • Arrange travel, prepare itineraries, and reconcile expense reports per policy. • Participate in outage and Emergency Response Organization duties with flexible scheduling.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or GED, five or more years of relevant experience or post‑secondary education, proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to manage highly confidential information, and strong organizational and detail‑orientation skills; nuclear experience and familiarity with SharePoint, SAP, Workday, and records management are preferred. • High school diploma or GED; 5+ years relevant experience or post‑secondary education. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; strong keyboarding skills. • Ability to handle highly confidential information with exceptional organization. • Preferred experience in nuclear environments, SharePoint, SAP, Workday, and records management. • Strong attention to detail and quality‑focused work ethic.
