About the Role
The Product Software team at Equinix builds next‑generation software products and architecture for the Equinix platform and services. The role will build and lead an engineering organization, serving as a hands‑on technical mentor and strategic leader for a diverse, innovative product engineering team. The leader will manage, mentor, and develop the team, using leadership and technical acumen to deliver against product goals and OKRs. • Attract, retain, engage, and develop engineering teams while inspiring them to achieve Equinix goals • Align team efforts with company and product OKRs • Conduct quarterly performance reviews • Define and refine engineering vision in partnership with product management • Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality, fundamentals, and scalable architecture • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Leads, and Engineering Managers to ensure operational excellence and reliable functionality • Drive creation and execution of the product roadmap • Managed at least 5 engineers with responsibility for their career growth • Designed and delivered complex, low‑latency web services serving large consumer bases • Led large engineering groups on mission‑critical projects in partnership with product, design, and business teams

What You Bring
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing engineering teams and managers • 8+ years of full‑stack cloud application development on microservice architecture, deep Java expertise • Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain high‑quality multidisciplinary teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong understanding of using LLMs to build business applications • Experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor
