About the Role

As a Lead Project Engineer you will own global project control activities, drive consistent functional specifications, and establish common processes for project implementation while managing activities that align with customer expectations. In this role you will lead the review and approval of engineering changes, ensure bill‑of‑materials accuracy, coordinate reviewers, communicate technical information to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams, implement quality and safety plans, adhere to engineering and project execution policies, generate work orders and reports, approve designs, and develop cross‑technology solutions. • Review and approve engineering changes, ensuring complete and accurate BOMs with proper substantiation. • Verify that changes address all interfacing components and systems. • Assign appropriate CID reviewers and approvers for each change. • Communicate technical information to senior leaders and cross‑functional teams. • Implement engineering aspects of quality and safety plans per Baker Hughes, client, and statutory requirements. • Follow engineering and project execution policies; produce work orders, reports, and documentation. • Prepare, check, and approve engineering designs and reports up to the required approval level. • Develop cross‑technology solutions and collaborate on cross‑functional projects.

What You Bring

To be successful you need a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), solid technical knowledge, proven experience in customer project engineering—preferably in oil and gas or manufacturing—strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, the ability to influence and lead small teams, manage moderate‑scope initiatives, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and a permanent UK work permit.
