About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, providing prompt and courteous waste removal services while ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards and all applicable regulations. Daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) are completed to address any defects promptly. The role requires vigilance in adhering to state and federal rules throughout each shift. Key duties include performing thorough pre- and post‑operation vehicle inspections, reading route sheets, loading and compacting refuse, and delivering waste to designated disposal sites. The driver interacts professionally with customers and dispatchers, tags unsatisfactory containers, monitors waste for compliance, and cleans accidental spills according to safety policies. Accurate completion of route, productivity, and other required reports is essential to meet departmental standards. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete daily VCRs. • Operate the collection truck safely along assigned routes, loading and compacting waste. • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as directed. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers to ensure timely service. • Identify, tag, and report unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for compliance and clean accidental spills following safety standards. • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational readiness between disposal trips. • Complete route, productivity, and other required reports accurately and on time. • Adhere to all safety policies, company standards, and state/federal regulations.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement. Strong customer‑service, time‑management, and follow‑through skills are required, as is a commitment to safety, honesty, and company policies.
