About the Role
The Warehouse/Storeroom Supervisor oversees all storeroom processes and resources to meet the needs of Sumter's internal and external customers. The role actively participates in continuous‑improvement projects aimed at boosting productivity and inventory accuracy. The supervisor works directly with production team members, provides daily task direction, resolves issues, and fosters positive employee relations with direct reports and key stakeholders. Responsibilities include supervising receipt and storage of finished goods, ensuring efficient space utilization, and developing procedures that enhance distribution productivity. Additionally, the supervisor manages inventory control records, monitors team productivity via Kronos, and upholds housekeeping and safety standards following 5S+ practices, while supporting annual physical inventory and cycle‑count programs. • Oversee storeroom operations and ensure timely delivery to internal customers. • Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and inventory accuracy. • Direct daily production team tasks, resolve issues, and maintain positive employee relations. • Supervise receipt, storage, and efficient space utilization of finished goods. • Develop and implement procedures to improve distribution productivity. • Manage inventory control records and maintain accurate inventory counts. • Monitor team productivity and work performance using Kronos time‑keeping. • Enforce 5S+ housekeeping and safety standards throughout the area. • Support annual physical inventory and maintain cycle‑count programs. • Provide equal opportunity employment and consider applicants with criminal histories per fair‑chance laws.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold at least a High School Diploma or GED and have a minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, operations, or a related field. At least one year of experience managing people or project teams is required. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the Sumter, SC facility, unless they are active‑duty military service members who are exempt from this geographic limitation. No relocation assistance is offered for this position. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution is preferred, as is prior experience in manufacturing management or operational excellence. These qualifications strengthen a candidate’s ability to drive process improvements and lead the storeroom team effectively. • Require High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of relevant experience. • Minimum 1 year of people or project team management experience. • Must reside within 50 mi of Sumter, SC (military exemption applies). • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering and manufacturing management experience.
