About the Role
The designer will create, edit, and convert CAD/BIM drawings, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with engineers on MEP design. Responsibilities also include reviewing models, supporting BIM managers, and preparing client‑ready submissions. • Produce setup drawings, sheets, and views adhering to CAD/BIM guidelines. • Modify architectural CAD/BIM files for MEP design, including cleanup, audit, and troubleshooting. • Draft and generate redlines for plans, diagrams, and schedules in AutoCAD or Revit. • Provide design assistance and calculations to designers and engineers. • Review BIM models for coordination using Revit and Navisworks. • Support the BIM manager with Revit template creation, family development, and staff assistance. • Prepare project deliverables for client submission. • Assist in managing Revit files and project organization. • Read and interpret floor plans, sections, and elevations. • Handle various file formats and ensure timely work to meet project deadlines.

What You Bring
Candidates need an associate degree or equivalent training, 3‑10 years of CAD/BIM experience in an MEP firm, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as familiarity with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades and MS Office, are required. • Understand drawing red marks and possess basic drafting skills. • Familiarity with at least one MEP trade: mechanical, electrical, or plumbing. • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat/Reader and the MS Office Suite.
