Senior Project Manager

About the Role

The project portfolio comprises initiatives either directly managed by the client team or delivered by leading third‑party developers under the client’s leadership, covering new construction, master planning schemes, and executive fit‑out works. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction delivery, from mobilisation through handover, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and programme targets. They will coordinate contractors, consultants and stakeholders to drive performance and embed Mace best practice. • Lead construction delivery according to the execution plan, methodologies, KPIs and governance frameworks. • Manage main contractors, supervision consultants and specialist subcontractors to meet scope, quality, safety and programme targets. • Provide proactive site‑safety leadership, risk mitigation, change control and issue resolution. • Oversee construction reporting, progress monitoring, quality inspections and handover planning for occupation and asset operation. • Promote Mace best practice, including digital construction tools and sustainable site practices. • Embed Mace’s safety‑first culture, ensuring HSW compliance and promoting well‑being, inclusion and accountable leadership. • Lead construction phase project management from mobilisation through completion, handover and close‑out. • Coordinate client, consultant, contractor and stakeholder teams to drive collaboration, consistency and performance on site. • Safety first – champion a safe, diverse, inclusive environment. • Create opportunity – foster continuous improvement and inspire people to develop.

Mace is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Construction) to be seconded into a client office, leading the construction delivery of a flagship commercial and residential asset. The role will act as a client‑side delivery lead, ensuring safe, high‑quality, and compliant outcomes in line with governance frameworks, programme objectives and stakeholder expectations. The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering commercial and residential construction to completion and handover, supported by a relevant professional membership or a demonstrable commitment to development. They must demonstrate strong commercial, contractual and financial acumen and a track record of leading large, multidisciplinary teams in client‑side or PMC environments. • Proven experience delivering construction phase to completion and handover on commercial and residential projects. • Relevant professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent) or demonstrable commitment to professional development. • Strong track record delivering commercial office buildings and residential assets, preferably in client‑side, PMC or secondment roles. • Robust construction management expertise with strong commercial, contractual and financial acumen. • Experience leading construction within large, multidisciplinary, multi‑contractor teams.
