About the Role

The Operator – Heavy Equipment is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations to move, spread, cover, load, or compact waste and soil efficiently. The role includes performing pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, ensuring all mirrors, lights, windows, and cameras are clean, and continuously monitoring both waste for non‑acceptable material and equipment condition to minimize downtime. Operators must also clean tracks or wheels as needed and keep the shop tidy at shift end. Operators safely run equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front‑end loaders, following established safety standards. They document minor service, complete equipment condition reports, and refer complex mechanical issues to the maintenance shop.

What You Bring
