About the Role
The Operator – Heavy Equipment is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations to transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil efficiently. The role includes performing equipment inspections, monitoring waste and equipment condition, and completing required reports. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation equipment inspections per company policy. • Operate heavy equipment (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, loader, etc.) safely and efficiently following safety standards. • Monitor waste streams for unacceptable material. • Continuously check equipment condition and clean tracks/wheels to minimize downtime. • Conduct and document minor equipment servicing; refer complex repairs to Maintenance. • Complete equipment condition reports and notify supervisor of needed repairs. • Follow all safety policies and procedures. • Keep the shop clean, serviced, and properly stored at shift end. • Deliver courteous, professional customer service with honesty and trustworthiness. • Manage time efficiently to complete tasks safely. • Follow through on schedules and address challenges as they arise. • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.

What You Bring
• Minimum two years of heavy‑equipment operation experience. • At least one year of experience working at OSHA‑regulated sites.
