About the Role
• Plan and implement to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule • Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies • Develop and manage project schedules, including three- and six‑week look‑ahead schedules • Develop a site logistics plan and manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment • Collaborate with project partner superintendents • Conduct on‑site project orientations, pre‑construction planning sessions, and project site meetings • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; interview, hire, transfer, and terminate craft team members as needed • Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team members • Ensure proper task coding of work hours on timecards, track work progress and craft productivity • Handle craft team member training and conduct career development discussions • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performance • Provide high‑level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members • Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures

What You Bring
The role requires a construction‑related degree or extensive trade experience, along with substantial construction management background and a valid driver’s license. Candidates must be detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, and possess strong communication and customer service skills. The position does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Postings remain open a minimum of five days, averaging 44 days, and Mortenson does not accept unsolicited agency communications without a valid agreement. • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience • Minimum 8 years construction management or related experience • Current driver’s license • Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects • Detail‑oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills • Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies • Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback • Ability to travel up to 100% • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans

The position offers a base salary ranging from $130,100 to $195,200, with higher ranges in Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C., and eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
