About the Role

Within HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, engineers design critical infrastructure that powers the digital age—from high‑performance data centers driving AI to dynamic commercial spaces. The team unites mechanical, electrical, structural and civil experts to solve complex design challenges, improve energy efficiency, integrate resilient systems and shape the future built environment. • Lead design and production planning for site civil work (layouts, grading, drainage, paving, utilities) • Perform quantity take‑offs and calculations • Prepare specifications, contract documents and permits • Execute complex engineering assignments using professional judgment • Serve as Engineer of Record and technical authority on specialized problems • Conduct early project development, site selection and due‑diligence • Supervise medium‑to‑large teams of professionals and technicians • Develop scopes of work, budgets and estimates for proposals

What You Bring

The Senior Civil Engineer position requires a bachelor’s degree, a professional engineering license, at least ten years of civil design experience, and strong project‑engineering and management skills. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu, and demonstrate a commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned, inclusive culture. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license for the job location • Minimum 10 years of civil/site design experience • Proven project engineering and management experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu
