About the Role

As Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing integrated electrical and mechanical systems, in compliance with the NEC (National Electric Code), IBC, U.L. and IEC requirements, ASCE, ASME, ASTM, and ASHRAE standards. In this role, you will develop integrated systems, which includes large custom‑built enclosures and skid‑based systems to house electrical switchgear or mechanical systems for modular data centers, power equipment centers and integrated switchboards for the company’s stated markets.

What You Bring

The successful candidate must have a proven track record in managing multiple concurrent projects, in an independent environment, and be able to develop cost‑effective designs utilizing SolidWorks 3D modeling or equivalent. The position also requires solid knowledge of electrical equipment integration and mechanical design from both a structural standpoint and sheet‑metal fabrication, with frequent interaction with customers, associates, and suppliers, making excellent communication skills essential. • BSME, technical degree, or commensurate design experience • 1‑3 years of design engineering work experience • Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and specifications • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical system integration • Working knowledge of fabricated sheet‑metal products • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards • Understanding of SAP ERP operating environment • Knowledge of NEC, UL, and ETL standards • Knowledge of ASCE, ASME, ASTM, and ASHRAE standards • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork • Strong written and verbal communication abilities • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
