Job Highlights
About the Role
You will carry out repairs in occupied properties, covering carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating, requiring adaptability, problem‑solving and excellent customer service. The role offers a strong pipeline of work and the chance to improve social‑housing standards, making a real difference in the local community. • Perform day‑to‑day responsive repairs in void social housing properties • Replace or repair skirting boards, architraves, and internal door frames • Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops and cupboard doors • Repair or replace internal doors, handles, locks and hinges • Identify and fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps and blocked sinks • Carry out patch plastering and remediate damaged walls or ceilings • Complete wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing • Paint and decorate to a professional finish after repairs • Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency repair rota as required • Report additional works, safeguarding concerns or property issues beyond scope • Deliver excellent customer service in residents’ homes • Accurately record job details, materials and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets • Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good condition • Manage daily workload to meet service level targets

What You Bring
All candidates must have the right to work in the UK, a full UK driving licence, be over 21, have held the licence for more than three months and have fewer than nine points. Background, identity and security checks will be carried out, and further enquiries can be directed to Laura Bourne. • Work safely, efficiently and to high standards in occupied homes • Proven experience in domestic repairs across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating) • Full UK driving licence • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills • Excellent customer service experience in occupied homes • Good understanding of health and safety regulations • Competence with handheld devices or job management systems • Willingness to join out‑of‑hours emergency rota

Benefits
Annual salary is up to £39,627 per annum for a full‑time permanent Multi‑Skilled Operative role in Tower Hamlets, working 42.5 hours per week (8‑5, Monday‑Friday) with a company van and fuel card provided. The position focuses on responsive repairs and maintenance across a range of trades within social housing, ensuring residents’ homes are safe, functional and well‑cared for.
