About the Role
A Driver‑CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, provides prompt courteous waste removal, ensures vehicle compliance with safety standards, adheres to company, state, and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports. Principal responsibilities include performing pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tires, fluid levels, safety equipment, and controls; reporting safety issues; operating the truck along assigned routes, loading and compacting refuse, and disposing of material at designated facilities; interacting courteously with customers and dispatchers; tagging unsatisfactory containers; monitoring waste for violations; cleaning spills; maintaining vehicle readiness; cleaning waste from equipment; completing route/productivity sheets and VCRs; meeting productivity standards; following safety policies; participating in the ReSOP program; and performing other duties as assigned.
