Senior Planning Manager

About the Role

• Manage delivery of key assignments, provide strategic direction and monitor alignment with vision and objectives. • Support long‑term planning performance for designated sectors/hubs and contribute to broader company goals. • Collaborate daily with stakeholders, clients, contractors and subcontractors. • Implement project planning and scheduling strategies according to client procedures. • Create and evaluate master schedules using Primavera P6 for megaprojects. • Develop level‑5 commissioning, validation and qualification schedules. • Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated and contractor schedules. • Prepare and update progress reports, including scheduling contributions to monthly reports and presentations. • Integrate schedule data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction into planning systems. • Monitor and communicate potential issues that could delay the schedule. • Conduct critical path and schedule risk analyses, identify deviations and propose corrective actions. • Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure schedule accuracy while maintaining independent advisory capability. • Maintain professional membership such as AACEi, PMI or equivalent. • Create logic‑driven schedules from limited information, covering initiation through close‑out and identifying major phases and dependencies.

Mace North America is seeking a Senior Planning Manager for life‑science and industrial manufacturing projects, offering the chance to work directly with clients on iconic, major capital projects. • Hold a degree in construction management, engineering or a related field (MS/MBA preferred). • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills with actionable insights. • Bring at least 10 + years of scheduling experience in the construction industry. • Possess experience in planning and scheduling EPC projects, especially large life‑science or manufacturing projects with commissioning and validation. • Be familiar with construction drawings, specifications and contracting, and able to read and understand them. • Understand system start‑up sequences and major dependencies. • Expertise in Primavera P6 for master schedules, detailed commissioning/validation schedules, resource loading, look‑ahead reporting and float path trending.
