GAS Pipefitter

About the Role

The Gas Pipefitter role is integral to constructing, maintaining, replacing, and repairing natural gas distribution infrastructure. The position performs a variety of fusing tasks on new construction and existing lines, including fusing pipe casings, vault lids, fittings, metal parts, hot gas mains, and fabricating special components. • Support crew with handling and fusing gas pipe. • Ensure every fuse meets quality standards. • Keep tools in complete working order. • Locate utilities by hand with a shovel and probe. • Manage inventory on the truck. • Teach other employees how to fuse pipe to the correct specs.

What You Bring

The job is field‑based and requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds, often in extreme weather conditions. Employees must maintain clear vision, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors while working in confined spaces. • Fuse pipe that is ditched or drilled in the ground. • Minimum qualification: high school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum qualification: at least one year of gas pipeline experience. • Preferred qualification: Class A CDL. • Preferred qualification: two or more years of gas pipeline experience. • Preferred qualification: Operator Qualifications (OQs).
