About the Role
• Move, load, unload, and organize equipment, tools, and materials • Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with shipyard requirements • Support shipboard installation teams with material handling and staging • Follow all Newport News Shipyard (NNSY), Navy, and Truestone safety procedures • Properly handle Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and contractor-owned material • Perform basic labor tasks including lifting, carrying, and positioning equipment • Assist technicians during installation, removal, and modification activities • Support warehouse and logistics activities as needed

What You Bring
• Willingness to comply with all safety, security, and badging requirements • Must be able to pass background checks required for NNSY access • Ability to work in confined spaces, ladders, and shipboard environments • High school diploma or GED • Experience supporting technicians or skilled trades • Familiarity with Newport News Shipyard or Navy environments • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic • Forklift or material handling experience (not required) • Prior shipyard, construction, industrial, or military experience • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
