R&D Software Developer - Transformers

About the Role

The role requires on‑site presence and up to 10% global travel to support project needs and connect with international teams. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Key responsibilities include leading the development of electrical design software, upgrading legacy code to the latest .Net Core framework, and building Azure‑based applications. You will design and update architecture for electrical design tools, drive innovation through proof‑of‑concept projects, create CI/CD pipelines, and implement new features while resolving bugs and refactoring code for quality, all within an Agile, multinational team. • Develop and maintain electrical design software for transformer applications. • Upgrade legacy codebases to the .Net Core framework. • Build and enhance Azure‑based applications. • Design and evolve architecture for electrical design tools. • Lead proof‑of‑concept projects using new technologies. • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment. • Implement new features, fix bugs, and refactor code for quality. • Collaborate in an Agile, multinational team and document developments. • Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations. • Travel up to 10% globally to work with international teams.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field and has at least two years of hands‑on software development experience. Required skills include proficiency with .Net (VB.Net or C#), experience with Git and MS SQL Server, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure development tools, and fluent English communication. Preferred experience includes two years in electrical design and development for dry‑type or liquid‑filled transformers in the power industry. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field. • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on software development experience. • Proficiency in .Net (VB.Net or C#); .Net Core preferred. • Experience with Git version control and MS SQL Server. • Familiarity with Azure development tools and CI/CD pipelines. • Fluent written and spoken English. • Preferred: 2+ years in electrical design for dry‑type or liquid‑filled transformers.
