About the Role
Interns will support real client projects by creating engineering and construction drawings, performing basic engineering calculations, conducting field inspections of roadways and highways, and providing engineering support such as reviewing drawings and proofreading reports. • Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD. • Perform basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software. • Conduct field inspections of roadways and highways. • Review drawings, proofread reports, and provide engineering support.

What You Bring
Candidates must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering (or related) undergraduate or graduate program, show interest or prior experience in roadway and highway engineering, and possess basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, design-drawing interpretation, and technical writing, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include working proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation and experience using engineering analysis tools such as Civil 3D and HEC‑RAS. • Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program. • Demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in roadway/highway design, inspection, or construction. • Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, design drawing interpretation, and technical writing. • Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities. • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation; experience with Civil 3D and HEC‑RAS preferred.
