About the Role

The Maintenance Technician supports an affordable‑housing community, performing corrective, preventive, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. • Attend the community daily and respond promptly to resident and management work orders for common areas, buildings, and units. • Perform corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic repairs, including pool maintenance with accurate chemical logs. • Assist with scheduling and executing maintenance for turn‑over events and unit inspections. • Maintain the exterior grounds, breezeways, and common areas, ensuring hazards are identified and corrected. • Keep the maintenance shop organized, stocked, and compliant with safety and OSHA standards. • Support the hazard communications program and promote safe work practices. • Track service requests, preventative maintenance, make‑ready status, and inventory using on‑site software. • Provide excellent customer service, monitor request turnaround, and enforce community policies consistently. • Participate in on‑call emergency response and utilize resources economically. • Meet physical demands such as climbing ladders, lifting 100+ lb objects, working in confined spaces, and handling outdoor weather conditions. • Maintain reliable transportation for emergency on‑call duties.
