About the Role
The Driver‑CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The driver also ensures the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards, complies with all state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Key responsibilities include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, reading route sheets, and operating manual or automatic controls to lift, load, and compact refuse while delivering it to the designated disposal site. The driver interacts courteously with customers and dispatchers, tags unsatisfactory containers, monitors waste for unacceptable material, cleans accidental spills, and continuously monitors vehicle condition, cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body as needed. The driver completes required route, productivity, and vehicle condition reports, adheres to productivity standards, follows all safety policies, participates actively in the company’s ReSOP program, and performs any additional duties assigned.
