About the Role

Mortenson is hiring a Senior Project Manager II to lead hyper‑scale data center projects. The role focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and with the highest safety and quality standards. The manager will also build strong customer relationships and mentor project teams to provide exceptional service. The position oversees all financial aspects of the projects, including developing financial projections, allocating estimates in the financial system, approving invoices, and ensuring timely billing to accounting. It also manages subcontracts and supplier selections while supervising budget decisions and cost coding. Leadership duties include directing Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, guiding their career development, and acting as the primary liaison with owners and on‑site representatives. The manager handles change orders, obtains necessary approvals, and maintains project schedules, quality, risk, safety, and compliance. • Supervise overall financial health of projects and develop financial projections • Allocate project estimates, determine cost codes, and approve invoices • Provide accurate billings to accounting for timely payments • Manage subcontracts, supplier selections, and budget decisions • Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, fostering career growth • Serve as primary point of contact with owners and on‑site representatives • Handle change orders and secure customer/architect approvals • Maintain project schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and compliance

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in construction‑related engineering or management, have at least ten years of construction management experience, and possess a valid driver’s license.
