About the Role

• Lead and manage all project phases from concept through construction administration. • Act as primary contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. • Coordinate interdisciplinary work to meet design intent and project goals. • Develop construction documents using Revit. • Prepare and review deliverables for quality control and code compliance. • Mentor and supervise junior architectural staff. • Conduct site visits, field measurements, and construction observations. • Respond to RFIs, review submittals and shop drawings during construction. • Participate in permitting, consultant coordination, and project manuals/specifications preparation.

What You Bring

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our growing team in Pensacola, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a self‑motivated architect to lead and manage architectural projects in the Healthcare and K‑12 industries, from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong design and technical skills, project leadership, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work in a collaborative team environment. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program. • 8+ years of architectural experience with project management responsibilities. • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and standards. • Proficient in Revit; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite a plus. • Registered architect in Florida (or eligible for Florida licensure). • Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Based in Pensacola, FL area or willing to relocate. • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits.
