Manage and deliver UK environmental projects across sectors, overseeing scope, budget, and teams.

About the Role
You will lead smaller projects while supporting senior managers on larger programmes, gaining exposure, development and room to grow. The position also offers opportunities to line‑manage and mentor junior colleagues and to contribute to the team’s strategic direction. • Develop project proposals, defining scope, resources, schedule, and budgets. • Create and maintain project management documentation and plans. • Monitor project schedule, staff hours, budgets, forecasts, and progress. • Ensure health and safety information and internal approvals for site visits. • Manage contract administration and oversight. • Control project changes and risks, ensuring governance compliance. • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary environmental project teams. • Drive delivery of environmental improvement and net‑zero strategies. • Represent Environment and Consents with clients and internal stakeholders, building relationships.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in the environment or sustainability sector, and a genuine interest in land‑based sustainable development. You should be a confident communicator, possess strong programme‑management knowledge (MS Project/Primavera P6 or similar), demonstrate commercial and contractual awareness, and hold membership of a relevant professional institution or be working towards chartership.
