About the Role
A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards and all applicable state and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports. Drivers perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and report any issues. They follow route sheets and maps, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at designated facilities, and complete required productivity and condition reports. Interaction with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers is conducted courteously to ensure timely service. Drivers identify and tag unsatisfactory containers, monitor waste for unacceptable material, clean accidental spills, and keep the truck clean to minimize downtime.
