About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor role at Z Modular is an on‑site position in the Austin, TX area. The supervisor ensures the reliability, efficiency and safety of plant equipment while leading a team of maintenance technicians. Collaboration with production, engineering and quality teams is essential to troubleshoot issues, coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance, and sustain seamless operational performance. • Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians for efficient daily operations. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery such as mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment. • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. • Enforce OSHA safety protocols and company standards. • Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate timely emergency repairs. • Manage spare parts inventory and procure required components. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance documentation. • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives. • Promote healthy and safe work practices in line with regulatory and company policies.

What You Bring
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry. • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance leadership role. • Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Experience with welding and fabrication (preferred). • Familiarity with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office. • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety best practices.
