About the Role

The Global Internal Communications Specialist at ERM ensures the company's intranet and internal collaboration platforms, such as Viva Engage and SharePoint, are accurate, accessible, and aligned with the employee experience. The role works across Group Functions and regional teams to maintain a consistent user experience while supporting daily platform operations, governance processes, and a network of contributors. Key duties include publishing and editing intranet content, managing homepage updates and rotating banners, and applying governance policies for naming conventions, navigation, and content lifecycle. The specialist also provides day‑to‑day support and training for content owners, partners with IT on issue logging and permissions, and conducts quality checks for broken links, formatting, and accessibility. • Publish, edit, and maintain intranet content adhering to brand, accessibility, and governance standards. • Train and upskill regional team representatives on page updates, templates, and content refinement. • Manage homepage updates, rotating banners, and content scheduling with regular reviews. • Apply intranet governance policies, flag content for review or retirement, and maintain audit records. • Provide day‑to‑day support, troubleshooting, and guidance to content owners across HR, IT, Legal, Finance, and H&S. • Partner with IT to log issues, manage access permissions, and perform minor technical updates. • Conduct quality checks for broken links, navigation, formatting consistency, and accessibility gaps. • Monitor intranet and Viva Engage analytics, producing basic reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities. • Support employee engagement activities such as campaigns, landing pages, and news stories, and promote adoption of digital workplace tools. • Develop understanding of AvePoint/Tygraph for SharePoint to refine insights on intranet and Viva Engage usage.

What You Bring

The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a user‑focused mindset, with proven experience managing a global corporate intranet and collaboration tools. Candidates should possess excellent writing and editing skills, the ability to work across cultures and time zones, and comfort using analytics to guide improvements. Certifications in digital communications or SharePoint/M365 are desirable but not essential. • Essential experience managing a global corporate intranet and internal collaboration platforms. • Strong writing, editing, and digital content skills with a focus on detail and governance compliance. • Ability to work across cultures and time zones and use analytics to guide enhancements. • Desirable: certifications in digital communications or SharePoint/M365, UX/accessibility knowledge, and matrix organization experience.
