About the Role
The Groundperson works side‑by‑side with Power Line Technician crews to construct, operate, and maintain powerlines and electrical distribution systems. The position is a hands‑on field job suited to candidates interested in electrical utility work, construction trades, and outdoor labor. Responsibilities include handling tools, equipment, and materials, assisting with site setup and dismantling, and upholding safety practices in all weather conditions. • Assist PLT crews with construction and maintenance of powerlines • Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely • Set up, organize, and clean up work sites • Support safe work procedures at all times • Work professionally with crew members, customers, and the public • Work at heights on wood poles and steel towers • Perform outdoor work in all weather conditions • Engage in physically active work and travel when required

What You Bring
• Hold a High School Diploma, CAEC, or GED • Meet Alberta Industry Training PLT Apprenticeship academic requirements (English 20‑2, Math 20‑3, Science 10) • Maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s licence

Benefits
