Civil Inspector
Inspect civil construction work for compliance with codes, specs, and standards.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Conduct civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, and compression. • Perform surveillance of underground piping to verify tightness, bedding, and grade. • Inspect and monitor piling installation for correct location and bearing capacity. • Validate piping systems with P&ID checks and hydraulic or pressure tests. • Inspect electrical installations for proper grounding, circuit integrity, and regulatory compliance. • Oversee painting and insulation inspections to ensure required thickness and coverage. • Provide general inspection of all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship. • Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations. • Participate in developing quality control reports and procedures. • Contribute to job safety practices and preparation of safety reports. • Administer welder qualification tests as needed.

What You Bring
• Hold a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering. • Have a minimum of 8 years’ construction supervision experience on infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE. • Possess at least 3 years of experience specifically in roads, bridges, highways, or utilities. • Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications. • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
