About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager you will lead multi‑disciplinary teams through the entire project lifecycle—from option studies and design to procurement, construction, commissioning and NEC contract administration. Responsibilities include client‑side project management, governance, stakeholder, health‑and‑safety, risk, quality, schedule and contract oversight, as well as mentoring junior staff and managing subcontractors and remote resources. You will also nurture client relationships, support business development and coordinate bid submissions. • Lead delivery of multi‑disciplinary water capital projects from inception to commissioning. • Provide client‑side project management, including stakeholder, H&S, risk, quality, schedule and contract oversight. • Establish and maintain governance structures, defining clear roles and responsibilities. • Mentor and support Project Managers, graduates and apprentices. • Manage project team resources and coordinate subcontractors, including remote teams. • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional partners. • Support business development and prepare project management bid submissions. • Ensure project outcomes meet client expectations for quality, cost and timetable.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has at least six years of consulting project‑management experience, preferably within the water industry, and is familiar with NEC3/NEC4 contracts, especially the Professional Services and Engineering & Construction contracts. A relevant degree or equivalent experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder networks are essential. NEC accreditation, APM PMQ or PRINCE2 qualifications, and membership of a chartered professional body are desirable, as is prior line‑management experience. • Possess ≥ 6 years consulting project‑management experience, preferably in the water sector. • Demonstrated experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts, especially PSC and ECC; NEC accreditation preferred. • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience; PM qualification (APM PMQ or PRINCE2) desirable. • Exhibit excellent communication, organisational and numeracy skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior managers. • Prior line‑management or leadership experience within integrated, multi‑organisation teams.
