About the Role

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities once legal load capacity is reached. Commercial drivers handle containers weighing over 1,000 lb, navigating high‑traffic streets, alleys, and lots, while residential drivers collect household waste and roll‑off drivers load and transport large open‑top containers, often performing skilled backing maneuvers in tight spaces. • Operate vehicle in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). • Report unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, property damage, and service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Dump receptacles and leave the site clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and check‑out procedures. • Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

What You Bring

• Required: minimum 1 year operating a CDL‑required vehicle or equivalent military driving (within 7 years), at least 18 years old, legal work eligibility, Class A or B CDL with air‑brake endorsement. • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED. • Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.
