About the Role
The Apprentice Electrician role supports installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems under the supervision of a licensed or master electrician. This position provides structured on‑the‑job training for individuals developing electrical skills, working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and varying conditions. Work is performed on a manufacturing floor that includes moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise, with potential exposure to hot or cold environments. Schedules may involve overtime, weekend shifts, or on‑call duties as needed. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to code. • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using appropriate devices. • Troubleshoot basic electrical issues and perform corrective actions under supervision. • Measure, cut, bend, and pull conduit and cables with manual or power tools. • Assist with motor controls, lighting, power distribution, switches, transformers, and panels. • Keep work areas clean and safe; follow safety procedures and wear required PPE. • Prepare, organize, and transport materials, tools, and equipment for tasks. • Document work performed, materials used, and findings. • Shadow senior electricians to learn proper techniques and best practices. • Participate in required training, apprenticeships, and certifications. • Support general maintenance tasks as needed. • Stand for 8+ hours and lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lb independently.

What You Bring
• High school diploma or GED required. • Basic knowledge of electrical theory, safety, and tools. • Ability to read basic diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. • Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn. • Good communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills. • Pass pre‑employment screenings and background checks. • Attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork. • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials. • Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity. • Tolerate noise, heat, and dust; wear required PPE (steel‑toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection). • Pass ongoing health screenings such as vision, hearing, and lifting assessments.
