About the Role
The engineer will independently apply broad engineering principles, prepare advanced designs and technical data, and ensure quality through design review and documentation. Responsibilities include developing scopes, budgets, schedules, proposals, and providing direction to junior staff while coordinating with AutoCAD Civil 3D teams. Field investigations, hydraulic calculations, utility layout reviews, and client meetings are also part of the role. • Apply extensive engineering principles independently to water/wastewater projects. • Prepare advanced design documents, technical data, and ensure accuracy. • Design and review project documentation for quality assurance and conformity. • Develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and prepare professional proposals. • Lead and mentor engineers, technicians, and administrative staff. • Coordinate detailed engineering tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D and collaborate with design team managers. • Conduct field investigations and site visits as required. • Perform hydraulic calculations, review utility layouts, and evaluate pump‑station designs. • Manage client and team meetings, and respond to contractor submittals, RFIs, and change orders. • Ensure project delivery within established budgets and deadlines.

What You Bring
Candidates need a B.S. in environmental or civil engineering, with FE and PE preferred, and 4–6+ years of civil/environmental experience focused on water and wastewater design. Required experience includes linear pipeline work; pump‑station and treatment‑plant design knowledge are a plus. Proficiency with AutoCAD, OpenRoads, strong communication skills, and the ability to read and write English are essential. • Meet qualification requirements: BS in environmental or civil engineering, 4‑6+ years water/wastewater design experience, pipeline expertise, and proficiency in AutoCAD/OpenRoads.
