About the Role

In this position you will lead complex electrical design assignments, drive innovation, and influence the performance, reliability, and safety of large power transformer systems. You will engage directly with cross‑functional partners and customers, explore new technologies, and develop designs that move Hitachi Energy—and the world—forward, enjoying a blend of autonomy and collaboration. Key responsibilities include designing, analyzing, and evaluating transformer systems and components, developing advanced simulations, leading investigations, and presenting recommendations. You will also support economic studies, draft specifications and technical proposals, collaborate with customers on technical topics, represent the engineering team in meetings, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. • Design, analyze, and evaluate large power transformer systems, components, and models. • Develop advanced simulations and apply analytical tools to solve engineering challenges. • Lead investigations, devise solutions, and present recommendations and reports. • Support economic studies, create specifications, and prepare technical proposals. • Collaborate with customers on complex technical topics and define action plans. • Represent the engineering team in internal and external meetings. • Drive innovation to improve product performance and customer satisfaction. • Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, with at least five years of electrical design experience in the power transformer manufacturing industry. Required skills include strong theoretical and practical grounding, proficiency with AutoCAD (and preferably 3D CAD such as Creo), and competence in Microsoft Office tools. The role demands a collaborative, proactive mindset, the ability to work independently, and fluency in spoken and written English, with additional languages considered a plus. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of electrical design experience in power transformer manufacturing. • Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as Creo is a plus. • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications. • Demonstrated collaboration, proactivity, and ability to work independently. • Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
