About the Role
The Quality Assurance Associate ensures compliance with AAON's Quality Management System and manufacturing best practices through data collection, root cause analysis, documentation, team mentoring, and process auditing. This role supports the company's commitment to delivering high‑quality HVAC solutions while adhering to safety and AAON standards. Key responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of new processes and enhancements alongside Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams, following direction from senior quality engineers to collect data and document current procedures, and conducting unit audits and process inspections on schedule. The associate analyzes audit trends to identify improvement opportunities, communicates quality changes to production leaders, updates tools and documentation, and travels to various locations to support projects and maintain uniformity across sites. • Assist in implementing new processes and enhancements with QA/QC teams. • Collect data and document procedures under guidance of senior quality engineers. • Perform scheduled unit audits and process inspections; analyze trends for improvement. • Communicate quality changes to production leaders and update tools, processes, and documentation. • Travel to multiple sites to support projects and ensure uniform quality initiatives.

What You Bring
Candidates should have education or experience in a STEM‑related technical field, with knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies considered beneficial. Competent keyboarding and computer skills, especially proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, are also valued. Essential knowledge, skills, and abilities include excellent communication, strong self‑discipline, deadline orientation, problem‑solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail. Staying current on quality design and methodology is required to perform effectively in this role. The position demands the ability to stand and sit for extended periods, walk up and down stairs, and lift up to 50 lb. Work environments involve periodic visits to manufacturing facilities with seasonal temperature extremes, dust, and occasional chemical fume exposure, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. • Require STEM‑related education or experience; Lean/Continuous Improvement knowledge preferred. • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and computer keyboarding. • Demonstrate strong communication, self‑discipline, deadline orientation, problem‑solving, and attention to detail. • Able to stand, sit, walk stairs, lift up to 50 lb, and wear required PPE in manufacturing settings.
