About the Role

Republic Services will train a Driver Trainee to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and subsequently place the individual in a driver role across its Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll‑Off lines of business.

What You Bring

The trainee must successfully complete a comprehensive CDL training program that includes classroom instruction, on‑route experience, and vehicle operation using a loaned truck. After receiving the CDL, the employee will conduct full pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, safely operate a heavy truck along assigned routes, load and compact refuse, monitor waste containers for compliance, and keep the vehicle clean and ready for service. The role also requires reporting safety issues and performing any additional duties assigned by supervisors.
