About the Role
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, including city governments, utilities, and public agencies. • Serve as the client’s voice within GHD, ensuring priorities and challenges are understood and addressed. • Develop and execute client interaction plans to engage decision‑makers and influencers. • Lead and mentor a Client Engagement Team to deliver innovative municipal solutions. • Create and implement annual growth plans for municipal accounts with a 3‑5‑year horizon. • Monitor trends in public spending, regulations, and infrastructure investment to identify opportunities. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in water, transportation, and urban development sectors. • Collaborate with technical teams to align proposals with client preferences during bidding and delivery. • Maintain an active pipeline of projects and pursuits. • Represent GHD at municipal meetings, conferences, and industry events, promoting the brand and capabilities. • Facilitate multi‑party communications to resolve issues and advance strategic initiatives. • Oversee CRM system implementation and maintenance, recommending improvements for relationship management. • Act as subject‑matter expert on technology, policy, regulation, or operational management and maintain external accreditations. • Manage a portfolio of complex customer relationships and/or a small team of account managers to drive profitable growth. • Develop relationship‑management plans for strategic, complex accounts at local and national levels. • Consult with customer representatives to clarify outcomes, gather data, and define specifications. • Build a personal network of senior managers, represent GHD at sector events, and gather market intelligence. • Create internal marketing plans and collaborate across departments to enhance customer focus. • Provide analyses, themes, and recommendations based on customer input to improve services.

What You Bring
To help lead this next chapter, we are seeking Client Service Managers (CSM)‑Transportation who are energized by growth, trusted by clients, and motivated to shape the future of public infrastructure. Client Service Managers are viewed as a critical role within GHD, sitting at the intersection of our clients, communities, and technical teams, bringing external voices, priorities, and opportunities into the organization. Education requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Preferred qualifications are a Professional Engineer license, at least 10 years of client service or relationship management experience in the municipal or public sector, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. • Professional Engineer license preferred. • Minimum 10 years experience in client service or relationship management with municipal/public sector clients. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders. • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
