About the Role
Mortenson is seeking a Senior Lean Manager to partner with group leadership in planning and executing lean strategies, support project teams with 5S, flow construction, and kaizen‑based continuous improvement, and capture quantitative improvements for future project pursuits and business strategy. The role involves building trust with leaders and workforces across multiple job sites to drive lean adoption. • Build partnerships with leaders and workforce at multiple job sites to gain trust and buy‑in for lean approaches. • Promote continuous‑improvement principles and support leaders during improvement events and follow‑ups. • Advocate for Flow Construction (Takt Planning & Takt Control) and help teams develop and execute flow schedules. • Develop and implement standards for identifying and responding to abnormal conditions. • Measure baseline performance and ensure visibility of improvements across projects. • Champion 5S practices, ensuring consistent policies, plans, and job‑site standards. • Encourage crews to brainstorm and implement ongoing improvements.

What You Bring
The role requires up to 75% travel and a current driver’s license. Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. The posting typically remains open for a minimum of five days and an average of 44 days. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience. • Bring at least eight years of construction or manufacturing experience. • Apply six or more years of continuous‑improvement experience in construction or manufacturing. • Maintain a current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75% of the time. • Demonstrate expert knowledge of continuous‑improvement principles and ability to coach lean professionals. • Exhibit strong relationship‑building, influencing, and communication skills.

Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $113,500‑$170,300, with higher ranges for select locations (Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Washington, D.C.). Pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity, and the position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
