About the Role
The Facilities Manager will oversee comprehensive facility services across assigned properties, ensuring compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements. This role includes managing relationships with third‑party tenants and property owners, preparing and managing budgets, and coordinating facility‑wide initiatives while driving prompt collection of management fees and reimbursements. Day‑to‑day responsibilities involve managing staff performance, maintaining contract compliance with owners and tenants, delivering facility services according to standard processes, and ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal laws. The manager will also prepare facility budgets, track variances, support fee collection, oversee team development, execute succession plans, and participate in compensation planning. • Manage performance and outcomes of assigned staff. • Maintain contract compliance and relationships with third‑party owners and tenants. • Ensure facility services align with standard processes, policies, and programs. • Guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and portfolio initiatives. • Prepare, submit, and manage facility budgets; track variances and oversee recovery processes. • Support timely collection of management fees and reimbursements from tenants. • Oversee team development, succession planning, and compensation planning for direct reports.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, a minimum of five years recent supervisory experience overseeing roughly three million square feet, and a real‑estate license. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, relationship‑building, problem‑solving, accounting knowledge, Excel proficiency, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred qualifications encompass experience with energy‑management systems, sustainability programs, and LEED or other green‑building certifications, as well as a background in commercial real‑estate or corporate facilities focused on Class A office buildings. Technical expertise in engineering or building trades, managing budgets over $1 million, and familiarity with risk management and emergency response planning are also valued. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in facilities management; real‑estate license required. • Minimum 5 years recent facilities management and supervisory experience (≈3 M sq ft). • Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Proficiency in Excel with data‑analysis capabilities and knowledge of accounting practices. • Experience with energy‑management systems, sustainability programs, and LEED certification. • Technical background in engineering, construction, or building trades. • Experience managing facility budgets exceeding $1 million with demonstrated cost control.

Estimated total compensation ranges from $120,000 to $132,000 per year, with final offers based on qualifications, market conditions, and internal considerations.
