About the Role

The role provides manufacturing expertise, support, and direction within an assigned area. The employee assists the supervisor in coordinating, facilitating, and motivating the team to achieve High‑5 metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, lean, and efficiency. They lead by example in safety, ethics, attendance, quality, standard work, 5S, product knowledge, communication, and professional presence. Work is prioritized based on order urgency, and daily production goals are communicated clearly to the functional team. The employee motivates the manufacturing staff, ensuring awareness of production, safety, and quality objectives, and works directly with the team to execute customer orders efficiently, giving precedence to the most urgent. The incumbent maintains departmental safety objectives, keeps the work area clean and organized according to 5S standards, and provides on‑the‑job training tailored to individual, team, and product group needs. They serve as a resource for specific skill training and support employee development across multiple areas. Production and quality metrics are gathered and analyzed, including cycle time, output, and material utilization, to monitor performance. Team and individual results are measured against expectations, with feedback incorporated into process, product, and skill evaluations.
