Senior Electrical Estimator - Commercial Construction
Prepare accurate commercial electrical cost estimates and support bid processes.

About the Role
• Develop proficiency in the Company estimating systems and processes. • Apply estimating terminology, measures, concepts, and principles for all estimate types. • Assist in analyzing estimates to predict key project issues. • Prepare and coordinate full project estimates, providing conceptual and final input. • Perform all aspects of estimating independently. • Adapt and modify standard estimating techniques, procedures, and criteria as needed. • Develop wage rate build‑ups for cost calculations. • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, RFPs, and contracts. • Create detailed material take‑offs for bulk material procurement. • Develop cash flow schedules and related estimates. • Prepare scope and bid package breakdowns for subcontractor and vendor quotes. • Analyze subcontract bids for scope, cost, and price comparisons.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a BS in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent) with six years of commercial electrical estimating experience, an AS with eight years, or a HS/GED with ten years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred qualifications add six-plus years of relevant estimating experience, strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and codes, proficiency with estimating software, and the ability to read construction documents. The position does not offer sponsorship for United States work authorization, requires a pre‑employment substance‑abuse test, and is strictly on‑site with no hybrid or remote options. • Recognize how project actions and assumptions impact estimates and quantify the impact. • Understand construction means, methods, and sequences for a single discipline. • Understand and apply Earned Value Management (EVMS) theory. • Minimum: BS Engineering/Construction Management + 6 yrs experience, or AS + 8 yrs, or HS/GED + 10 yrs, or equivalent combination. • Preferred: 6+ yrs commercial electrical estimating, strong systems and code knowledge, estimating software proficiency, blueprint reading, strong math and communication, experience with varied project types, NEC knowledge, contractor background.
