About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY: A Relief Driver‑CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, the driver must ensure the vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards, adhere to all relevant regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and report any safety issues. • Safely operate the collection truck along the assigned route, read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as directed. • Operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste material at the designated facility. • Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to ensure timely and professional service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures. • Continuously monitor waste for signs of unacceptable material. • Clean areas around accidental waste spills while adhering to safety standards and policies. • Monitor vehicle condition continuously, clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip to maintain readiness. • Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other mandated reports. • Maintain required productivity standards to service all customers efficiently and promptly. • Follow all required safety policies and procedures. • Actively participate in the Company’s ReSOP program. • Apply effective time management to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently. • Adhere to Company policies and promote safety standards while avoiding inappropriate risks. • Access health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Utilize the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP). • Take part in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).

What You Bring
• Demonstrate good customer service skills, acting professionally, courteously, and honestly toward customers and co‑workers. • Exhibit strong follow‑through, adhering to work schedules and addressing challenges as they arise. • Possess at least two years of prior commercial truck driving experience (preferred). • Hold a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement.
